Truchas Peaks Place is a deluxe facility located in the historic village of Truchas high in the Sangre de Cristo Mts of northern New Mexico. From the wrap-around decks a panorama of stunning views is available of the Truchas Peaks, the Jemez Mts and the Pedernal made famous by the paintings of Georgia O’Keeffe.
Truchas Peaks Place is situated midway between Santa Fe and Taos, 45 minutes from either destination. Located on New Mexico State Highway 76, the site is easily accessible but still provides the ambiance of a secluded retreat.
The village of Truchas, settled in 1754, maintains the link
to its Hispanic heritage. Spanish is spoken and the buildings are still constructed of adobe. There is also a flourishing arts community with numerous art galleries exhibiting contemporary art as well as regional arts, weaving and woodcraft. |
